The stunning shades of Autumn in Ireland shone a light on the natural beauty of the Irish West coast to create the perfect backdrop for an intimate wedding celebration at the breathtaking Ballynahinch Castle.
The Couple
Our bride and groom waited years to have their magical wedding day. They first engaged our wedding planning services in 2019 when the pair were based in Dublin. However, the pandemic of 2020 put a stop to wedding planning and their return to the United States cancelled all Irish wedding plans.
When they reached out to us again two years later we were absolutely delighted. Ready to pick up where we left off we began to plan their long awaited Dream Irish Wedding.
The couple found us through word of mouth as we happened to plan the wedding of the bride’s neighbour ten years earlier. It’s a small world after all!
The Destination
With a shared love of nature and the outdoors, Ballynahinch Castle was the perfect setting for this special wedding day.
The couple had previously visited Ballynahinch and knew the area with so much to do in the scenic countryside. Picturesque landscapes, natural surroundings and a crisp October air gave this wedding day the sensational seasonal celebration it deserved.
The pair even went for a refreshing dip at Dogs Bay on their wedding morning. Bravely embracing the wild Atlantic Ocean on Irish Autumn day.
The Ceremony
After a special first look moment in the garden that set the tone for this magical wedding day, the ceremony began.
A marquee stood in the walled garden of Ballynahinch Castle adding elegance and a unique spin on a traditional ceremony.
Guests too their seats down the aisle adorned with seasonal flowers in glorious shades of pink, red and orange.
The bride walked down the aisle in her stunningly elegant, classic gown complete with detailed cape that wowed guests as she walked by.
The Décor
Carrying the autumnal theme through to the reception, a rustic, welcoming atmosphere greeted guests as they made their way through the gardens to the hotel.
Shades of orange, brown, red and green flowers and candles decorated each table. Candlelight enhanced the cosy ambience as the sun went down and celebrations continued into the night.
We loved every minute of planning and organising this special celebration for a wonderful couple!
Kind words we received from the bride: “You did such an amazing job making our day and Ballynahinch was the perfect location so thank you again!”
A big thank you to our talented creative team, who helped to make this Dream Irish Wedding Day so special!
