- Avoid jokes… the groom’s speech is not an opportunity for a comedy stand up
- Focus on your wife
- Say “my wife”
- Compliment her
- Keep it clean & don’t use bad language!
- Make eye contact
- Avoid lists
- Thank the in-laws
- Mention your wonderful parents
