It was a sunny day in Mid-summer when Kara & Jeff tied their knot in beautiful County Kerry on the south coast of Ireland! The landscape is truly remarkable and one of the reasons the couple picked Kerry as their wedding destination. Let us show you more of ‘Their Beautiful Wedding Day On The Wild Atlantic Way’!
Let The Celebrations Begin
The couple’s three-day wedding kicked off with a welcome party in Jarvy’s Bar where guests were entertained by wonderful local musicians & enjoyed delicious pub food.
The night prior to the wedding all of the guests attended the rehearsal dinner a BBQ in the luxurious Park Hotel.
The Big Day
Kara and Jeff’s wedding style could be described as a ‘Midsummer Night Dream in an enchanted forest’ and was achieved through a colour palette of white, green and lavender as well as lots of green foliage.
The Ceremony took place in the majestic Cathedral in Killarney. The bride & groom stopped at Muckross Park & Abbey for photos en route to their reception.
And finished their journey the Killarney way in one of Killarney’s world famous jauntin cars.
Their Magical Décor
Flowers & the overall décor for the wedding were very important for the bride. Herself & Michelle worked tirelessly to style the wedding exactly as the bride envisioned. The flowers of the day included peonies, freesias, hydrangeas, spray roses and seasonal local foliage such as parv and eucalyptus which were also found in the bride’s soft, loose and unconstructed bridal bouquet.
The flowers in the church featured an extra-large arrangement for the unity candles on the altar as well as beautiful pew ends.
In the reception room the mood was set to achieve the look of an enchanted forest through fairy lights, lanterns, moss, wood, vases and candles.
Wedding Food
During the cocktail reception set up in the garden guests enjoyed delicious canapes, Prosecco & Pimms.
A gourmet five-course dinner begun with a Kerry seafood trio followed by roasted butternut squash soup & house salads while main course was mouth-watering fillet of beef or choice of roasted Halibut or corn-fed chicken washed down with the sommeliers choice wines.
The on trend naked cake was creatively decorated with fresh fruit & flowers and each layer was layered with cream cheese & fresh raspberry conserve.
The Entertainment
The Killarney School of Dancing provided a high octane, entertaining Irish Show at the end of dinner where guests even had an opportunity to try a few steps!
A Photo wall continued the Mid-summer Night dream theme & guests entertained themselves all night taking fabulous selfies.
Guests placed their fingerprint on a board to create a keepsake for the bride and groom.
For any guest feeling little thirsty there were fun test tubes of shots.
We’re wishing Kara and Jeff a blissful marriage full of love, laughter and happiness!
